Patience is a Virtue
Today was THE day...I anticipated all the test results would be back and the plan would be put into action today. However, the test results were inconclusive or the best way I understand is the results did not confirm Dr. Silva's intuition! Let me share that Dr. Silva is thrilled the cancer does not exist in my organs nor bones. In his mind, his initial plan has not changed...chemo before any type of surgery. However, the current results do not warrant chemo and he still has concerns with lymph nodes in the left arm pit. Today, I had a ultrasound guided core biopsy of the lymph nodes in the left arm pit. We should get the results by Tuesday (hopefully) next week. As an analyst, I am very familiar with flowcharting and even though I hesitate to create flowcharts, I understand the philosophy and purpose. In my mind, we are near the beginning of the flowchart at a Decision Making point...a HUGE Decision Making point. I believe that Dr. Silva is taking the appropriate precautions to ensure he makes the right decision in my best interest. The decision will be chemo vs. mastectomy. I will continue to pray, pray, pray!

Mary I have thought about you daily since I heard your news and Pray often just like everyone else, I just wanted you to know that I read your blog before work this morning and laughed to myself all day about Malia's card!! Anyway keep shining and I will think of you often!! Melissa

Today when I read your blog I was at work and laughed so hard at Malia" card she wrote you my boss came in to see what was so funny. Kids got to love them and we never know what they will say. Remember the Lord will guide you into making the right decision. You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers in this hurdle that God has given you. He is always beside you and is there to carry you when you are too weak to go on.

I'm glad to know you are in good hands with Dr. Silva and only wish I could be closer to be there. All my friends are also saying prayers for you, Dan, and the kids!

I hope you get good results next Tuesday. What a great birthday present that would be, eh? I remember when my brother was sick a nurse told me that while it may be hard--take each little piece of information and deal with that only. One piece of info, one step at a time. I'm sure you and your doctors will make the best decision for YOU. Continued prayers for you and yours.
