Back to Normal

Thanks to my Big Sis for stepping in and posting a note in my absence!

WOW! I was zapped! I have not had mono, but I am guessing that my symptoms this week would be similar. I lost the pep in my step. I was very weak. I did not even have the energy to change Bo's clothes after Dan dressed him in Super Hero Jammie shorts and a nice, striped polo shirt yesterday. Today, however, I feel like a million bucks...better than I did before chemo started. The Jamboree sealed the deal for me...it really is FOOTBALL season and I could not be more excited! I need the distraction now more than ever. It will be so nice to live for Friday nights with the Stanberry Bulldogs and Saturdays with the Northwest Bearcats!

We did have our 1st day of 1st grade this week and Malia is, once again, in her element. She is meant to be a schoolgirl! Everything was ABSOLUTELY fantastic or ABSOLUTELY fun or something dramatic. Even Maggie is excited about school. She will go to pre-school playgroup in the spring semester, but on Tuesday, she had her backpack so full I thought the zipper would pop. She packed her own lunch (peanut butter sandwich, pudding cup, granola bar, and gum). And she had money in her wallet just in case they were selling monster cookies. Dan swears they are not his kids because they enjoy school so much!

  5. Glad you are feeling better and were able to enjoy the jamboree. I can just see little Bo in his jammie bottoms with a nice polo shirt, Malia telling you all about school in her excited way, Maggie getting ready for school in her own serious way. You sure have three precious little ones. Dan and you remember to get your rest needed to win this "battle" that you are fighting. Sending my love and prayers your way. Aunt Liz

It's good to hear that you were feeling better for the weekend. Some how that is how I work too. Mine is not chemo induced.....pretty sure it is Miller Lite induced!!!! It was great to see you last night, and taking a page out of Malia's vocabulary, you look ABSOLUTELY amazing. You looked right at home backing that trailer in also!!! Keep that chin up and Fight Like a Girl!!!!

    Love ya,

We are praying for you as you fight this cancer. We are also praying for coach and your beautiful kids, they are so sweet. We are ready for Friday night football and we know that we will go far this year. Coach is awesome with the guys and God is awesome knowing your heart and what you need when you need it. God Bless you...We will pray without ceasing for you and the team, your team at home and our team on the field. Keep looking up as you go through this battle knowing always that you are not alone, we all are praying and God is listening. In Christ, Bill, Denise, Matt and Hannah Bracken
