Just getting started...

As soon as I get more organized, I plan to post the history of the last week of our lives. Long Story Short...breast cancer confirmed...Biopsy, MRI, CT, Bone Scan completed. We will receive results and put all the pieces of the puzzle together Thursday, August 6, 2009, in Omaha, NE, at University of Nebraska Medical Center Olson Center for Women's Health under the care of Dr. Edibaldo Silva, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S., Surgical Oncologist.

  10. HI Mary,
I was forwarded your blog from a mutual friend and I feel I should know you from the other people that have made posts, but wanted you to know you can beat this as I did. Your story sounds alot like mine, left breast, BIRAD 5, positive biopsy, so I know what you are going thru. I did chemo and Immunotherapy first and surgery after. When the path report came back after surgery, it was clear, not a cancer cell to be found!! YEAH! This can happen to you too. Family, friends and God's intervention will get you thru. The power of prayer is amazing and we all know that miracles do happen every day. I am adding you to all the prayer lists that I know of. Please keep a positive attitude and fighting spirit. I would be happy to visit with you at any time, so if you need anything, please let me know. I have heard Omaha is great. Please be on the lookout for Dr John Shook as he was my surgeon at St Luke's but left there to go to Omaha. He was awesome and good looking too! HA!! It sounds like you have a great Dr. Hang in there.
